If we have a desire for a holy mind,we are not far from attaining it. Ask God to purify your mind as David prayed. Analyse if you have any unconfessed secret sins, check what u see, talk,and who u spend ur time with.Read psalm 1 and meditate. read philippians 4. The Blood of Jesus Christ is the Ultimate answer for the problem. Cry unto Him, like Jacob, Don’t lose hope.I pray 4 u.

heyyy……….. whoever u r i read what u wrote on 5th june 2009…….. i just want to tell u dat we all feel attracted towards sinful things its just because we r human being….. we many times fall into the pit of evil because of which we get hurted……….. but don’t b afraid b’coz our saviour lord God is there for us who will lift us from the pit.

the wounds which u got when u fell into the pit consider it as a punishment from God our Lord for commiting sin…………
whenever u r tempted to do somrthing wrong just pray for 5-10 minutes from the bottom of ur heart…………. believe me then u’ll never b tempted to do anything wrong….i’ll pray for u friend.

to Nagma. you can meet Jesus too. just surrender your whole being to Him and offer yourself to Him. turn away from anything that would displease Him. He will come into your life and and make you a new person, Literally. read the bible and pray every day, He will be your guide, now go look in the mirror and you will see Jesus. I promise.

To GENERAL P*H*L*!*N*T, what you meant to say was, “if he *ever* read a book.” Mr Thornton, I suggest it, reading a book some time. Books are full of all kinds of interesting things, and you can learn a lot about the world from them. It is clear you have never read a damn thing concerning evolutionary biology. I feel I can say this with some confidence as your straw man is so very very bad. If you are going to construct specious arguments, at least have the courtesy to put a little thought into them and construct them better.

I remember growing up in Florida in the 1950′s and going to public schools where were said the Lord’s Prayer every day and took turns reading a Bible passage every day.

Surely you aren’t suggesting that the white’s-only school I went to was morally centered? It was a racist abomination. Religion in the South mostly supported the rancid racism of sending black children to shoddy separate schools.

I was an agnostic kid raised by liberal Unitarian Universalists (my dad was an officer in the Air Force) who were active participants in the civil rights struggle. My Dad couldn’t stand the casual cruelty of Jim Crow laws and when I was 4 years old I was lucky enough to witness my father trying to incite civil disobedience at a white’s-only public fishing lake in Orlando – he urged some black kids who were being sent away by police to stay and fish with us.

When schools were full of god talk they were racist cesspools.
